Some may feel that Golf Days are a bit old news these days but… there was nothing old and boring about The Almond Tree’s first Charity Golf Day held on 02 October 2018!

The Charity Golf Day was proudly hosted by the beautiful and challenging Ebotse Links Golf Course

Ebotse Golf Course

The Almond Tree events team volunteers did a sterling job of organizing this event, from months of gathering awesome prizes and selling four-balls to the finer details on the day. The team ensured that all the supporters enjoyed an awesome day on the course and that all the Hole sponsors were taken care of. (Many thanks to Bronwyn, Michelle, Angela, Tanya, Jess and Ansa – you ladies are amazing!)

The Charity Golf Day was well attended by many supporters with big hearts, who collectively contributed to a successful fundraising activity.

There were many laughs and fun-and-games shenanigans had on the golf course, mostly thanks to Hole 8 sponsors Macsteel who made passing through hold 8 very interesting for the players.

Pro golfer Lejan Lewthwaite hosted “Beat the Pro” at Hole 15, and gave some of the boys a lesson in how to get nearest to the pin in a shot or two!

Prize-giving and dinner gave The Almond Tree the opportunity to share our vision. Hearts were touched and even some had tears in their eyes after hearing about the plight of orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa.

Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for making this successful fundraiser possible.
